Congratulations, Dr. Sherry, on a well-deserved honor! I had the great fortune of working with you on an undergraduate research project in 2001, and through your rigorous method, I came to truly appreciate science. That year of research proved to be a key point in my career direction: currently I am finishing (human) medicine at Wake Forest, and I am about to embark upon residency training in pathology. Again, congratulations on the cool award!
Each year, the Alumni Association honors 18 faculty members who have excelled in teaching, research and extension. We give them monetary awards and celebrate their achievements at a dinner held in their honor.
We would like to ask you to tell us why these faculty members are special to you. Perhaps they pointed you down a particular career path, developed your critical thinking skills or took the time to get you back on track in a particular discipline. Tell us your story!
